Optimising the Workability and Strength of Concrete Modified with Anacardium Occidentale Nutshell Ash

چکیده

Strength failure persists both in structural and mechanical analysis. One of its prominent characteristics is the adequate provision for parameters that minimise or maximise strength objectives while satisfying boundary conditions. The previous optimisation concrete usually neglects mix design mechanisms induced by optimisation. Recent efforts to accurately optimise compressive have factored some these mechanisms. However, optimising modified with high silica alumina precursors, crucial factors are rare. Consequently, this paper optimised workability strength, incorporating binding, water/binder ratio, binder/aggregate curing using Box–Behnken approach (BBDA). A waste material, anacardium occidentale (cashew) nutshell ash, was valorised used at 5, 10, 15 wt.% cement. composites were made, cured tested 14–90 d. results revealed a precision between experimental slump 97% R2. In addition, 5% increase obtained compared target strength. Besides, correlation model equation from study predictions studies via BBDA yielded strong relationship.

Compressive Strength and Workability Characteristics of Low-Calcium Fly ash-based Self-Compacting Geopolymer Concrete

Due to growing environmental concerns of the cement industry, alternative cement technologies have become an area of increasing interest. It is now believed that new binders are indispensable for enhanced environmental and durability performance. Self-compacting Geopolymer concrete is an innovative method and improved way of concreting operation that does not require vibration for placing it an...

Relation between the Workability and Strength of Self-compacting Concrete

This paper presents the results of an experimental research on the workability and compressive strength of self-compacting concrete. The work focused on concrete mixes having water/binder ratios of 0.35 and 0.45, which contained constant total binder contents of 500 kg/m and 400 kg/m, respectively. The concrete mixes contained four different dosages of a superplasticizer based on carboxylic wit...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

On the Antifeedant and Anthellmintic Potential of Anacardium Occidentale L.

The antifeedant and anthelmintic activities of crude extracts of the shells of Anacardium occidentale were studied by comparing it's activity with the activity of Azadirachta indica A Juss (Kernel), a commercial standard. The test extracts of A. occidentale in petroleum ether, dichloromethane: methanol showed better activities compared to A. Indica. To Study the anthelmintic activity, the addit...

Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Anacardium occidentale Leaf Extract

In tropical America, principally in Northeastern Brazil, the leaf extract of Anacardium occidentale is traditionally used for treatment of different diseases. However, chemical and biological properties and activities of Anacardium occidentale are poorly investigated and known. Here, we evaluated the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities "in vitro" of leaf extract from Anacardium occiden...
